THE ROLE:

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and executing multi-channel marketing activations for our portfolio of global active, outdoor and lifestyle fashion brands within the UK market.

The role will work closely and cross-functionally with our Sales, Operations and E-Commerce teams to drive brand awareness, revenue and support the strategic objectives for our business and brands. The role is an integral part of Marketing team, working extensively with our retail, media and brand partners in order to develop and execute marketing strategies and deliver campaigns to help increase company revenue and grow brand awareness in the UK market. An understanding and passion for active, outdoor and lifestyle fashion are desirable in order to have insight into how your work can impact our retail and brand partners.

The role will require strong leadership, organisational, communication, project management and relationship-building skills in a fast-paced, client-led environment. This position gives the successful applicant an opportunity to work across our portfolio of global brands at an exciting point of their growth both globally and in the UK market.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and implement strategy, planning and execution of seasonal marketing campaigns in line with global GTM brand marketing strategies to help drive sales and brand awareness for our brands in both B2B and B2C environments (including retail, digital, events and media)
  • Implement bespoke campaigns that targets wholesale partner consumers and aligns with seasonal brand campaigns
  • Conduct weekly calls with the Marketing teams to establish priorities and provide updates on live activity, as well as deliver a weekly report on progress to the Managing Director
  • Manage, forecast and report a 12-month marketing budget and plan
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Retail, E-Commerce, PR, external agencies and other regional teams to support and inform the strategy and delivery of marketing plans
  • Coordinate with global brand marketing teams for insight and support on retail, digital media, and event marketing activities where required
  • Lead client support and marketing activations with our key retail accounts – including asset delivery, digital campaigns, window displays, POS initiatives and visual merchandising
  • Manage or support the execution of consumer or B2B trade events
  • Oversee the management of our company social media channels and website including Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Align marketing/PR activity in collaboration with the Senior PR Executive, as well as global PR teams where required
  • Critically review and feedback on creative design in line brand guidelines
  • Write articles and create copy
  • Oversee marketing gifting requests
  • Be willing to travel to events and meetings regularly across the UK, as well as attend seasonal international brand conferences

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years in a marketing role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience at a Manager level
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent knowledge in retail marketing, sales and promotion, coupled with a creative and strategic mindset
  • Experience in leading and managing teams
  • Experience in managing marketing budgets
  • Experience working within a wholesale/distribution-focused business
  • Strong ability to drive, increase, measure and report ROI in marketing activities
  • Comfortable in a team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable presenting strategies and plans to internal and external partner audiences
  • Ability to research and maintain a working knowledge of industry trends
  • Able to prioritise, manage deadlines, and make decisions under pressure
  • Resourceful & strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills within both in-person and remote comms environments
  • Strong work ethic, integrity and ambition to succeed
  • High level of confidence and ability to build relationships with internal and external partners
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Adept at using WordPress or other content management systems
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe CS, Dropbox and Google applications)
  • Experience working in an agency environment with multiple clients is desirable
  • Experience working within a retail-led industry (ideally in the fashion market) is desirable
  • A passion for active and outdoor activity is highly desirable
  • Due to the nature of the role, you must be willing to work occasional weekends or out of office hours
